Afternoon Delight

 AFTERNOON DELIGHT WILL TAKE PLACE ON Sunday, August 14, 2011.

To purchase tickets go here: Afternoon Delight 2011. This annual garden party is hosted by ACCL to raise awareness and resource for heart disease prevention. The event takes place at the beautiful Hacienda de Flores Gardens in Moraga. In this serene locale guests are treated to “delights” which include henna tattoos, neck and shoulder massages, astrological readings, handwriting analysis and the opportunity to shop for a good cause at the silent auction and vendor booths. Proceeds from the event benefit the American Heart Association and other local non profits helping to raise awareness in the black community about heart health.

Nordstrom Fashion Show

For 11 years ACCL partnered with Nordstrom Walnut Creek for its annual fashion show. The sold-out event brought 400 women together to preview the new fall fashions at Nordstrom and of course to shop. Proceeds from this event  supported local non-profit organizations in the community and the ACCL Anne C. Cato college scholarship award for a student with special needs and/or a student pursing a degree in special needs education. In 2008, Nordstrom discontinued all fashion shows with community partners in the region.
